Experience: No experience is required. Forklift licenses is an asset

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist customers in loading purchases into their vehicles.
• Assist with displaying and stocking products.
• Watering plants.
• Moving plant material from production to retail areas (and vice versa).
• Assisting the production team with tasks (pruning, fertilizing, watering, moving etc.)
• Assisting the maintenance team with tasks that include general upkeep of the structures and lawn and garden maintenance.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment for customers and staff.
• Maintaining the greenhouse and nursery, ensuring it is clean, neat, tidy, and well organized.
• Labeling and arranging trays and pots methodically and systematically.
• Assembling and attaching plant labels.
• Pack and prepare orders for clients and customer pick-up and delivery.
• Ensure all clean-out and startup tasks are completed including ensuring the greenhouse is cleaned and ready for planting.
• Ensuring production lines are organized, prepared, cleaned, and maintained.
• Assisting with equipment and facility maintenance tasks such as cleaning and repairing equipment and greenhouse structures and ensuring proper functioning of irrigation systems, heating, and ventilation systems.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Fast-paced environment.
• Work under pressure.
• Attention to detail.
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Bending, lifting, and crouching.
• Ability to lift 25-50lbs (plants, plant material, bags of soil etc.).
• Adaptable and flexible with changing weather and daily schedules, accepting that some days may be longer than others and evenings and weekend work is required.
